Questions
Questions before you book
What happens at a first visit?
You start with a short talk about how you shave, with what and how often. Rodrick looks at your skin under a lamp and tells you what he sees before he touches it. Then the facial, and a few minutes to settle. A first visit is 75 minutes.
Should I shave before I come?
Shave the way you normally would that day. If you shave in the morning, shave that morning. If Rodrick would rather you didn't, he will tell you when you book. Stubble, a few days' growth or a beard are all fine to come with.
How long does a visit take?
The analysis alone is 20 minutes. Facials are 30, 45 or 60 minutes, and a first visit is 75. Every service on the list shows its own time.
How often should I come?
Some clients come monthly and some a few times a year. Rodrick suggests a pace at the end of your visit and writes it on your note. You decide.
Do I need an analysis first?
Yes, once, before your first facial. It is how Rodrick learns how you shave and how your skin takes it. It is built into a first visit, or you can book it alone.
Who is welcome?
Anyone who shaves, or used to, or has never started. The room and the list are the same for everyone.
What should I do before and after a visit?
At booking, Rodrick tells you what to pause, such as products that exfoliate. After the visit he goes over what you use on shave days and what to leave alone for a day or two. His guidance is general, and he confirms it with you.
Who should ask a doctor first?
If you use a prescription skin medicine, have a skin condition a doctor is managing, or have had surgery or an injury on your face lately, ask your doctor before you book. Tell Rodrick at booking so he can plan around it.
What happens if you suggest a dermatologist?
Rodrick says so at the visit and writes down why. He doesn't diagnose, and he doesn't promise that a facial will change a skin condition. Results vary.
How does pricing work?
Prices aren't printed on this site. They depend on the length of the visit and any add-ons, and the booking page shows them when you choose a service, before you confirm. There is no deposit.
