Shave-day skin
The skin you've just shaved
Skin that is shaved every day or two has a different week from skin that isn't. Rodrick plans a facial around how and how often you shave, not around a chart. The analysis is a conversation, and nothing is sold at the end of it.
What you shave with
A razor, an electric shaver or clippers.
How often
Every day, most days or now and then, and at what time of day.
What you put on afterward
Bring it or photograph it, and he goes through it with you.
How your skin feels
Where it feels irritated by shaving, and when.
When to book
Come as you normally do
There is no wrong day to book. Tell Rodrick when you last shaved and with what.
Shaved that morning
Come as you are. He sees your skin as it is on a shave day.
Shaved yesterday
Also fine. He asks what you shaved with and how your skin felt after.
Not shaving for a while
Stubble, a few days' growth or a beard are all fine. He works around it.
Shave-day questions
Shaving and your visit
Should I shave before I come?
Shave the way you normally would that day. If you shave in the morning, shave that morning. If Rodrick would rather you didn't, he will tell you when you book. Stubble, a few days' growth or a beard are all fine to come with.
Do I need to bring my razor?
No. Bring or photograph what you use, so Rodrick can see it, but he doesn't need the shaver itself.
What if I've nicked myself this morning?
Tell Rodrick when you arrive. He may change the plan for the day, or move the visit.
How often should I come?
Some clients come monthly and some a few times a year. Rodrick suggests a pace at the end of your visit and writes it on your note. You decide.
